The Indigo Diamond Quilted Tote Bag
Dipping fabric into a vat of indigo is one of the most satisfying experiences I’ve had as a quilt maker. Watching it transition from neon yellow to green and finally deep blue reminds me that life is always in motion, always changing, always maturing into something else and it gives me a sense of comfort and stability.
I love the rustic vibes of hand quilted and naturally dyed quilted goods. It’s something you will see throughout my Indigo collection. There is something truly beautiful and timeless about a hand stitched tote; they are full of texture— something you can not find in a machine quilted piece. They remind me of cozy old farmhouses, American Folk Art and the comfort of a simple life.
DETAILS
The Indigo Diamond Tote is entirely hand quilted with premium 100% cotton fabric, thread and batting. The bottom and straps are both made with soft, genuine cowhide. It is hand dyed using natural indigo and features a deep indigo shade while the interior lining is a gorgeous burnt sienna. It also features a large interior pocket as well. The process of making this tote, from start to finish, takes weeks to complete— from numerous dips in vats of natural indigo to cutting and piecing to hand stitching. Lovingly made in my 90 year old log cabin in the woods of Northern BC Canada.
Each tote varies in color, tone and design as is the charm and beauty of handmade products.

approx. 18 wide at top tapering to approx. 16” at base; 15” tall. Strap length (from center to tip 15”)
