The Indigo Lemoyne Star Quilted Throw (Copy)

from $2,100.00
Sold Out

Dipping fabric into a vat of indigo is one of the most satisfying experiences I’ve had as a quilt maker. Watching it transition from neon yellow to green and finally deep blue reminds me that life is always in motion, always changing, always maturing into something else and it gives me a sense of comfort and stability.

I decided on the Lemoyne Star for the front design as a nod to the author Jennifer Chiaverini who wrote The Quilter’s Apprentice and inspired this classic design. While the reverse side features a beautiful block pattern. The quilt is, therefore, reversible allowing you to enjoy 2 designs!

I love the rustic vibes of hand quilted and naturally dyed quilts. It’s something you will see throughout my quilt collection. There is something truly beautiful and timeless about a hand stitched quilt; they are full of texture— something you can not find in a machine quilted piece. They remind me of cozy old farmhouses, American Folk Art and the comfort of a simple life.

DETAILS

The Indigo Lemoyne Star Quilted Throw is entirely hand quilted with premium 100% cotton fabric, thread and batting. The quilt binding is also hand stitched on. It is hand dyed using natural indigo and features a variety of indigo shades. The quilt front features a Lemoyne Star pattern while the back features a block pattern giving it the added benefit of being reversible so that you can enjoy both designs. The process of quilt making, from start to finish, takes weeks, if not months to complete. This heirloom quality quilt has 80 laborious hours invested. Lovingly made in my 90 year old log cabin in the woods of Northern BC Canada.

Each quilt varies in color, tone and design as is the charm and beauty of handmade products.

DIMENSIONS

approx. 67x67“

Perfect size as an accent for a bed, as a throw quilt, or displayed on a wall. You can choose to have a display sleeve added by clicking on the product option menu in this listing.

All sales final. If you have questions before purchasing, please contact me before ordering. I’m happy to help answer any questions you may have.

Thank you for supporting my work. Creating art and having it showcased in your home is one of my deepest honours.
